Responsibilities:

Develop Individual Placement and Support (IPS) policies and procedures according to the Evidnce Base Practice Supported Employment (SE) for persons with a Mental Illness. Monitor the programs fidelity to the SE mode and oversee various other qulity control and financial responsibilities. Superviseand tain employment specialists; act as a liaison with other agency coordinators.

The MI Employment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all activities related to IPS employment. This includes overseeing job development, job coaching, and follow along services for persons with I/DD and MI. Collaborating with employment agencies, schools, community college, and other community initiatives related to employment. Educating and working closely with case managers concerning employment and assessment, program implementation, family interaction, and individual participation in communityemployment experiences. Providing community education to facilitate public awareness and acceptance about Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) and Individual Placement and Support (IPS). Will supervise employment specialists. Will work closely with I/DD Employment Coordinator to ensure appropriate employment support/services and integrate I/DD and MI employment teams to enhance team building and supports for persons served

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in social work, business management, or a related field and have appropriate certification, licensure, or registration that corresponds to degree.
  • Three yearsexperience working withpersons with an Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) or serious mental illness (MI) preferred.

  • Experience in the supervision of others preferred.

 

  • Must have knowledge about ensuring legal rights to inclusive services under the Americans wirh Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.  Computer literacy is required.  

  • Lived experience with mental illness and developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders valued.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,518 to $55,848/year
