Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will encourage our individuals to fulfill their goals on a daily basis. Most importantly, you will enable them to live on their own and maintain their independence that could otherwise be lost. You will assist individuals to build their independence by working side by side with them to achieve their person-centered goals. This includes assistance with grocery shopping, meal preparation, specialized diet, budgeting monthly funds, medication, household cleaning/maintenance, community inclusion activities, hygiene, and medical appointments. Your ability to be self-motivated, organized, and dependable will serve you well in this role, as will your compassion, patience, and empathy. No experience necessary, but a background in caregiving or willingness to learn will be a benefit.

Hours – Part-Time starts at 24 hours, and you’re welcome to pick up additional shifts to add more hours. We also have a Casual position that allows you to determine your availability ($16.25/hr).

Must have – A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Salary - $16.71/hr  |  PLUS! $500 Sign-On Bonus

 

What is Direct Support?

Our Supported Independence Program (SIP) provides assistance with finding safe, affordable housing, assistance in finding potential roommates, assistance in learning skills to maintain independence, and provides staffing based on individual needs. Individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability may qualify for Supported Independence Program (SIP) Services to promote independent living.
